Green Bay Packers quarterback Matt Flynn can't wait for March 13 to get here, because that's the day he will be getting calls from his agent about starting positions, and starting money.

"I'm a confident person, but the element of the unknown makes you wish March 13 was tomorrow.  I love being a packer, and it's not 100 percent sure I'm leaving Green Bay, but as a competitor and football player, that's what you play the game for, to be a starter in the league.  Hopefully some teams will be interested in me and i can find a good opportunity.  I want to lead a team and I'm excited about it.  But I can't talk to teams now.  I don't know if I'm on their radar.  It's going to be a long month leading up to that time, waiting and wondering," Flynn told Sports Illustrated.

Flynn has pretty much been picked as the Miami Dolphin's starting quarterback next year, mainly because former Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is now the head coach there.  However rumors have been swirling about the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Last year, the must get quarterback was Kevin Kolb, and he didn't necessarily light up the score board finished the season with a 2 – 6 record as a starter.

Kolb got a big money deal, $63 million over five years, after compiling seven starts and some decent stats.  Well, Flynn only has two starts, so maybe that scares teams away from the long term deal, maybe he gets a deal for two years, gets a chance to prove himself then the long term deal comes through.

None of that really matters, teams in the NFL are so hungry for a franchise quarterback, they will take chances just about every year.

All of this builds up to be one of Flynn's happiest days of his life.  However Flynn isn't bothered by any of the pressure that is sure to come.

"I try not to worry about things I can't control so there's no reason to have negative thoughts about that.  My goal is to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and all I can ask for is an opportunity to find a good situation with a team that wants me.  And then go there and have success," Flynn tells Sports Illustrated.

However things work out, we all wish Flynn well with his future and his future team.  But on Sunday's, if it's against the Packers, you're going down Flynn!
